Vanessa Sedano

Vanessa Sedano, MPA is the Managing Director of Housing Services of The Whole Child. She joined the organization in July of 2011 to construct the foundation of the newly acquired Family Housing Program. Vanessa manages the housing department daily operations and growth strategy. During her tenure she has successfully secured government contracts that have provided housing opportunities for homeless families in the region. Under her leadership, The Whole Child Housing services have incorporated Imagine Whittier, a family mentorship program for clients needed additional support for success.

Vanessa has over twenty years of experience working in the social service sector. She is passionate about being an agent of change by providing valuable services to a diverse community. She represents the needs of our service region in various committees such as Regional Homelessness Advisory Council and Chairs SPA 7 Homeless Coalition. As the Secretary of Golden Rule Community Development Cooperation, she has assisted in the development of low- income units for homeless veterans and families.

Vanessa holds a bachelor's degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA and her Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis in Leadership from Azusa Pacific University, CA.
